Each week the 3 Guys pick 5 games each utilizing the spread. Below we present our picks for Week 10!
Bears (+7.5) at Rams: Are the Chargers really this bad or are the Bears starting to figure it out and are better than we think? I’ll go with the later on this one. The Rams have an impressive defense and Gurley is a monster, but Foles and company don’t scare me. Alshon Jeffery and Jay Cutler are showing why they are one of the best QB/WR combos in the NFL the past few weeks. Upset Alert possible here.
Steelers (-4.5) vs Browns: The Browns are just plain awful, nothing else to say about them. Sorry fan of the Browns (and yes that is singular, right Justin). Steelers are without Big Ben and Bell, but still have enough play makers to cover the 4.5 at home.
Jaguars (+5.5) at Ravens: I called it last week that the Jags would keep it close with the Jets and they did. I feel like they can build on that against a poor Ravens team. Bortles will be throwing early and often to Robinson and Hurns!! Another upset alert…
Saints (-1) at Redskins: I hate this game, but the Saints are too talented to be this bad. Can wild man Rob Ryan morph into his father or even Rex for 1 week, please!! Redskins have been playing mediocre, which is good for them, but the Saints will put up 30+. Just hope Cousins doesn’t light up the D for 40+.
Bengals (-10.5) vs Texans: I feel like the Texans are having an invisible season. Barely any mention of them most weeks. Even JJ Watt sightings have been rare. The Bengals are undefeated and determined to continue that. Plenty of weapons on both sides of the ball. The Red Rocket better get some serious MVP love if he continues to perform at this level.
Buffalo (+2.5) at NJ Jets: Rex Ryan is returning to the field where he changed NY football landscape by becoming a vocal and in your face coach. This game has a lot of story behind it… A broken jaw, the puncher getting hired by the opposing team, Ryan going north to Buffalo, Buffalo getting healthier, Jets looking like a viable option for the playoffs, and so on. My take is that Buffalo is heating up after their win last week against the Dolphins. Tyrod Taylor is back and making everyone feels good about the offense, while the defense continues to lick their wounds and get back to game time shape.
Carolina (-5) at Tennessee: The best NFC team is going against a hungry Titans team that flexed their offensive muscle last week scoring 34 points (I know, it was against the defense weary Saints), and their Rookie QB seems to have a huge connection with WR Sammy Watkins… Look out for Dorial Green-Beckham has he is becoming more relevant as the season goes on. But enough about the losers to this game… Carolina has been on a killing spree demolishing the Packers last week. With their 12 game (regular season, including 4 games last year) win streak in tacked I see going to 13 with a few obstacles… Banged up RB crew, too many dropped balls, and of course the overall question is how awesome will Cam be???
New Orleans (-1) at Washington: With this game being pretty much a push I can’t see how going against Drew Brees at Washington would be a good idea. Drew is coming off a couple of weeks scoring a total of 77 points (including the week 8 Madden game with the Giants). I like the set of opportunities the Saints have and with Brees under center the chances of going against an uncertain Washington Pro Team has the making for another Saints win.
Jaguars (+5.5) at Ravens: Like the next pick, I’m all into the Jags and their surprise 2016 season. They are coming together little by little and even though the Ravens are still a suitable team their injuries (Steve Smith Sr.) has left a few holes to fill, and no time to do so. I’ll take the Jags to at least keep it close if not win it all!
Oakland (-3) vs Minnesota: I’ve jumped on the spike filled, black and silver, crazy fan driven band wagon and I do not want to come off… This is one game I will be watching as these are two teams that are not only demonstrating their hunger, their winning…
Buffalo (+2.5) at NY Jets: Rex Ryan threw fuel to the fire this week, naming IK Enemkpali as a Bill’s team captain, the same player that punched and broke Geno Smith’s jaw. This should look to be a low scoring defensive battle but with Antonio Comartie doubtful and Buster Skrine questionable, the Jets’ secondary will be thin. The Bills will battle and make it 4 in a row against the Jets.
Pittsburgh (-4.5) vs Cleveland: Divisional games are always tough in the AFC North, but Pittsburgh carries a 12 game home win streak against Cleveland. Regardless if Big Ben plays or not, the only thing that may potentially derail the Steelers from covering is if Josh McCown is healthy enough to play. Pittsburgh will win this by more than a touchdown.
Carolina (-5) at Tennessee: The Panthers will look to go 9-0 and stay perfect as Cam Newton has been stellar this year, accounting for 19 total TD’s. The Titans have lost 9 straight home games and with Marcus Mariota nursing a knee injury, I expect Carolina to get out ahead early and hold a lead, something that they have been failing to do in recent weeks.
Oakland (-3) vs Minnesota: The Raiders have turned this season into one their fan base has been craving for what seems to be an eternity. At 4-4 they find themselves in 2nd place in the AFC West. The Vikings won’t be an easy opponent, as they take their 6-2 record to the Bay area. This should be a fun game between 2 QB’s in their 2nd year. Oakland will win and cover.
New England (-7) vs NY Giants: The motto is to “never pick against the Giants when playing the Patriots”. This has held true the past 3 match ups in which the Giants have won 2 Super Bowl’s and one hard fought road game against the Patriots up in Foxboro. However if the Giants thought Drew Brees was a nightmare, Tom Brady will do the same plus the Patriots bring a better defense. The Giants will have to throw a perfect game out there behind Eli Manning, and I don’t see it happening.. unfortunately. Patriots will win by more than 7.
Late addition to this weeks picks…
Allie Haze – 6 time Award winning Adult Film Star
1 of the 3 guys just happened to be at the hotel that most of the adult film stars stay at for the exxxotica NJ convention. So while at the bar I figured why not get some picks from a porn star, and Allie was nice enough to make some picks. Good luck Allie and the rest of the guys!!
